Ive been finding myself drawn to ice these past few weeks. Everything about it looks so complex yet so simple. Water freezes and then thaws. Air bubbles and other parts of nature are frozen and trapped inside of these ice encrusted objects. I can still hear the sound of this creek I sat beside while shooting these little icicles. It really is relaxing and therapeutic in a way....plus I find it super interesting just watching water move in and around these structures. What I like about this shot is that their was no set up with the intention of getting anything amazing. I simply shot handheld handheld at parts that i found interesting. The movement of water really is something in itself. It can be isolated in so many different ways adding to the overall feeling of an image. I like to think that my images tell a story and carry a memory that will last a lifetime. I hope you all enjoy!
